The Amargi is a grassroots-funded online media outlet founded by journalists, activists, and academics across Europe. The Amargi’s spotlight is on Kurdistan, but we also focus on Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Iran, as well as the broader Middle East.
While we operate independently of commercial and political influences as a matter of integrity and commitment to journalistic ethics, our position comes with challenges.
